Kigambira Safari Lodge is one of our favorite places in all in Lake Mburo National Park, idyllically located within the park overlooking Kigambira Lake with a host of incredible one-of-a-kind experiences. Nestled between Savanah landscape and Rubanga forest, you’re enveloped in rare flora and fauna with super-easy access to the quantic life in surrounding lakes.
Tranquility is positioned in this private and peaceful indigenous landscape. So, within a four hours’ drive from Kampala, the elegant, award-winning, 12 independent cottages have breathtaking views over lakes and swamps, and the famous Kigambira Lake.
This facility is privately owned-and-run, and laid-back extravagance meets true Ugandan hospitality here.
Accommodation & other facilities at Kigambira Safari Lodge.
Kigambira Safari Lodge boasts a choice of luxury lodges and a variety of unique experiences, including boat cruises and game viewing under the guidance of professional rangers. Bike with wildlife, walk with nature and fishing equipment, with ability to also enjoy horse riding in Lake Mburo National Park.
Our chefs turn the fruits of this land into exciting breakfasts and memorable three-course feasts, all ready to be walked off on a morning game drive within the Park.
The restaurant affords you very comfortable sofas, a library, and gallery, and a well-stocked bar, while the upper wooden deck gets you to enjoy a fine dining experience with great views of Lake Kigambira and the vast marshland. The restaurant also specializes in a fine dining experience for its guests starting out with a continental English buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner which are all served as al a carte courses for your preference. We also accept orders for special diets but bush meals are usually a surprise at some unique spots in the wild.
The swimming pool enhances the Kigambira Safari Lodge safari experience because it provides ample privacy and the opportunity to plunge in and escape from the heat of the African sun. It is the only place you would want to be in after a long day of wildlife encounters, hill climbing, and cultural-social experience.
The crafts and gift shop is fully stocked with a selection of African books, travel maps, arts, and crafts. There are also small gifts, postcards, and African safari clothing. So, you can spoil yourself at the crafts gift shop for a souvenir, a memory from the Pearl of Africa, to carry with you back home for you and your loved ones.
