This place was once the residence of renowned Wildlife expert Jack Hanna and has now been brought back to life as a private space committed to celebrating conservation within Rwanda.
Right from the time you step into the Jack Hannah Cottage, you will feel Jack’s legacy, thanks to the original furniture and wood flooring that has been maintained, and the pristine private garden terrace. Jack Hanna’s unique character can clearly be noticed in the incredibly preserved details like the authentic cottage sign, a detailed guestbook with many years of hosting high profile guests as well as photos of his activities and adventures.

Jack Hannah Cottage has been well renovated while paying much attention to detail and care to its original architecture and design, hence providing the perfect hideaway from the hassles and bustles of the City while enjoying a wide array of adventures. Guests to this cottage are treated to private dining with a fully bespoke menu of traditional cuisines prepared from locally-sourced ingredients and spices from the Chef’s Garden. Interestingly, there is also an opportunity to discover culinary events in the form of Rwandan cooking classes, private cigar and whisky experiences.

The Library is significant in continuing Jack’s conservation legacy and learning about sustainability as well as the complex ecosystem and wildlife of the country in the Library.

Get the chance to listen from the local Gorilla Doctors who are experienced on mountain Gorilla Health, Care and survival as well as learn more about their incredible behavior. You will learn about the plight of the mountain gorillas and Gorilla Doctors’ work towards protecting them.
