We spent three successful & fruitful days in Cape Town, South Africa, at the World Travel Market (WTM) Africa trade fair, establishing and connecting with fellow industry leaders while forging valuable partnerships with new & existing agents. Our large stand at the Cape Town International Convention Centre was busy with activity, high-quality meetings, and lots of networking opportunities.
This year’s WTM Africa saw a significant 53% increase in attendance compared to the previous year. Unofficial figures suggest participation from a whopping 99 countries worldwide, highlighting the growing momentum behind African tourism.

Scenic had its own stand where we enjoyed a custom-built stand with a 50-inch screen showing our service and awesome videos for different experiences our guest had including gorilla trekking and chimpanzee trekking, among others. Flash disks, with lots of updates from both destinations, Rwanda & Uganda, were offered to partners . Reusable bottles, wooden gorillas and among others gifts were given out.
Our stand continued to buzz with activity, highlighting the strong appetite for intra-African travel. We connected with both international and local South African buyers, fostering valuable partnerships.
These 3 days were also packed with high-impact appointments alongside thought-provoking discussions, and meaningful connections held at the show.
As a member of ATTA, we joined a networking event at the exclusive Rockefeller Hotel on Wednesday evening. Sponsored by The Diamond Works, this event offered a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow industry leaders and forge valuable partnerships.
